Build from your roots.

Take the time to know who you are actually. We've been fed a lot of trash about ourselves. We've taken in poison. There are a lot of lies thrown at us. We've put on the spiritual and physical adipose tissue that comes with laziness and apathy. All of that must be shed and burned away. You won't get far adding to what wasn't supposed to be there in the first. Replace it with what works in harmony with your mind, body, and soul. Draw inspiration from the stories of the Heroes. Pick up a dumbbell. Fill your cup with water. Get some sun while you touch grass.

Become the sum of your ancestors.

Preserve your ego by staying in a constant state of improvement. Always be sharpening your body, mind, and spirit. A sharp blade of a person radiates that sharp energy outward. Allowing dullness to creep in not only takes that energy away, but turns it against you.

Victory begins with you, and it's up to you to keep it. Be better everyday, and let the world see it.

It's a grave mistake to believe that victory is final, and that you can just sit back and relax because you did one thing. Victory is always a choice, an act, a mindset.

You can choose to get sloppy, neglect your health, and allow your nobility to rot while boasting of your retreating glory days.

You can ride for a little bit on the figurative royalties of a job well done, expecting a steady supply of adoration and atta-boys.

Those options will not only carry you further away from your initial victory, but also tarnish your bright fame.

Understand that victory is never complete. You have to be better every day, moving forward with increasing gusto. You have to outshine yourself, and break your own records. Build the best version of yourself, and then improve it. Be grateful for the opportunity, the chance to be better. This will keep your name brightly lit, and your soul on the rise.

Hail the Folk!
