On the Eleventh Day of Jól

Loyalty. Ásatrú means "Loyal to the Æsir" Loyalty is at the heart of our faith and it is a defining (perhaps, THE defining) characteristic of noble men and women. Loyalty is for the difficult times.. Standing with someone when it is easy, fun, or beneficial is nice but is no feat of Loyalty. Standing with someone when there are consequences, when it is hard, when it is unpopular, that is when Loyalty shows its true character. May we all distinguish ourselves by our unflinching Loyalty. May we stand Loyal to our Folk, Loyal to our family, Loyal to the AFA, and Loyal to the Æsir.
